Toasty warm in the workshop
Hi all,
I think it's probably well known that my workshop is like a big fridge in the winter. I try to wrap up warm, but sometimes its pretty hard to stay motivated when I can't feel my fingers any more! Imagine my surprise then, when I arrived at Mike's on Saturday to find that a bunch of you lovely people had clubbed together to buy me a space heater! I put it together on Sunday and gave it a quick test, but today was the first opportunity I got to try it properly and it is very effective. This is at the front of the workshop so it's about a foot above the main floor which seems to work quite well for warming the air at body height. It took the area around the lift from 7 degrees to a balmy 10 in less than an hour which is quite impressive. There's a noticeable difference between the main part of the workshop and the office side. I need to plug a few holes in the walls and roof to stop the warms escaping now  So, a heart-felt thank you to all those who contributed  It really means a lot to me.

Wonderful, 30KW is quite a bit of heat.
 (Roughly twice what my gas boiler delivers to warm an admittedly well-insulated big detached house)Or you could just fire up an S8 or two?

Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Current mods: solar sun roof, 20mm rear spacers, 15 mm on front, red brembo callipers, 6k headlights, rear view camera, engine remap, alloy dash dial rings, alloy navi rings, tt/phaeton pedal upgrade, (and custom matching foot rest) dension ipod interface & parrot hands free kit (both fully hidden), av input, tv in motion switched thro' PF switch in blanking plug right of steering column, Audi 'quattro' sill covers, repositioned centre console switches, radio clock, .Planned mods: auto-dimming rear view mirror, dash cam (as steamship's), fit the ski hatch, refit philips drl's (or maybe not - nope, definitely not - horrible botch!).
