Hello All

Got my sensible head back on Sunday
Cut the plug off, stripped the wires back 10 mm, undid the small plug, removed the two small terminals and soldered new wires to the small terminals, filed down the solder until the terminals fitted back into the small black plug, then soldered the new wires to the existing wires in the dashboard
Good job, just waiting for replacement speaker now

Nothing's ever simple

Parking sensors went off today as well, can't win, constant beep from rear, screen keeps changing between music and sensor display while the p button on the dash flashes all the time
Took it to A8 parts and they diagnosed it as a drivers front corner sensor, when we looked at it a chipping has hit the front bumper right in the middle of the sensor and broke it
Bought replacement sensor off Carl and Dave at A8 parts dropped it off at the painters on the way home to collect tomorrow
Hopefully by the weekend we will be all back together and finished
Fingers crossed

A8 parts are hellish

Andy

I guess you mean buying parts for a8 is hellish and not the forum sponsors?

They are audis top of the line car and with that comes a high maintenance cost, mines due a service and that will be best part of 900 quid.

The term "hellish" is often used in a positive sense up here in the North, Del.

Some would say the S8 is "hellish fast", it's by no means meant as derogatory.

We're a bit strange up here

Del, will you be taken her to Simpsons or Robinsons? Let me know how you get on with who you use.

I have a similar issue.

Front right treble and midrange are *very* quiet when doing a test with VCDS. Sometimes doing an MMI reset gets them back, but not always.

Amplifier?
