I know this because I've already replaced my cluster with an adaptive cruise one and had the same question as to why it had disappeared!
I have a facelift with adaptive cruise and I have both screens. Perhaps a coding issue?

The first two look the same but do show different readings at the bottom. I think they are average MPG and live MPG but I culd be wrong without checking.

My car is an early face-lift model - is yours the later facelift model?
It may possibly be because until I have fitted the adaptive cruise widescreen dash but had to currently still code it as the standard widescreen dash to ensure the standard cruise control still works until the rest of the adaptive cruise kit (which I now have) is fitted

Mine is a 2008 so yes one of the later face-lifts.

Digital speedo was only 2008 on but does work if you put that cluster in earlier cars it cannot be coded to exist or not exist. It can be set to Km or miles in MMI>Measurement Units which is useful abroad but also changes odometer to whatever units you choose.

I confess, this was my belief too, but been a while so wasn't going to make the claim.

Both my RS6s were 2009, with ACC and digital speedo for sure, and I've had digital speedo on all my > 2008 cars from memory, but no late model D3 with ACC that I recall.....

Yes, not sure how I missed it before now that it seems so obvious, but first two screens display Tripmeter 1 and 2.
