Default Side mirror tilt

Morning. My left side mirror is not as smooth when it tilts on reverse. Was hoping to strip it and grease it up again. Any recommendations on how n what grease to use?

Cheers

I sprayed Siprem silicone with the straw in the gap around the glass and it worked for about 2 years but I might take the glass out and try it this time. I am afraid of breaking the glass as they are so expensive (the auto-dimming glass). Some grease that's plastic safe might be best.

***EDIT, just tried to pry glass out with trim tool. Feels like somethings going to break. I can't find any videos for A8.
I'd rather not try any harder for such a minor issue. If I find better instructions I'll wait for a hot day when the plastic is softer and try again.
I think it just clips into a ring of clips and hole in the middle so prying in the middle top and bottom would probably be safer than on the outer edge.

Eurocarparts, or if you are near LIDL, they have something similar there unless they have run out.

I might just try lubing it again through the gap. There is something called a friction finger in the centre on the horizontal plane and about 2/3-3/4 from the inside edge on the vertical plane. I will make sure this gets plenty as it sounds like something that could jam.
