Default Xenon plus cleaning

Just a quickie...

Anyone know how to clean the inside of the indicator lense?

I have a load of C**p inside that is sitting on the lower silver part. Can the indicator lense be taken off easily?

Yeah you can take of the front plastic cover, it is a one piece unit that covers both the indicator and headlight. Think you might need to take the headlight out first, but when you look at the light, it will be pretty obvious how it comes out. If you struggle let me know and I will try and explain.

Thanks mate

Haven't got the car yet, but one of the first jobs to do.

I'll indeed let you know if I get stuck.

I'll have to do the same procedure soon. There is a "breather hole" under the yellow turn signal bulb. For some unknown reason some water got through that hole and now I've got some ugly stains behind the front element on the lower silver part.

I think there was a writeup how to remove the yellow side marker for these headlights for US cars. There were pictures, but I cannot find it...

Question: if I remove the front element, will it stay in place good enough, so I won't have moisture coming from outside? Is there a gasket between front element and the headlight that I should get before the surgery? I'm worried that I won't be able put the front element back in 100% sealed way..

Thanks Architex,

This is writeup I meant. Checked my headlamp today. The "breather hose" is missing, this is why water came in. Wrote request to A8 parts...
