New Ignition Coils
Been planning on changing the plugs for a while, and since its on the orginal coils at 137k I figured I'd do those to,
Any recommendations or ones to avoid? I assume these should be ok? https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ngk/7006391 |

If the ignition coils are working fine, there's no real need to replace them. They'll generate misfire codes when they fail.
However, I would trust an NGK replacement just fine. 48082 is the correct coil for the 5V 4.2. Genuine Audi coils at FCP Euro are US$40 ea. I thought they were Bosch, but I cannot find an Audi coil in the Bosch catalogue, so I have no other brand suggestions. If you stick with NGK, same coil at a lower price here

All features as the '01, with the 'S' mode auto shifter. Dodgey rear tint (need to find a way to get rid of that). revisiting this. just got around to replacing all 8 at a very reasonable £157 delivered from https://www.gsparkplug.com/
much smoother start/idle and running feels like I've found 20bhp though I will concede that cylinder 7 had a slightly loose plug which may not have helped matters |
