I use the polarised filter as it was recommended from the reviews I saw. I'm not sure if it does much since I've not done a comparison, maybe I should one day but it could be tricky to get the same test conditions each time.

The issue I have is that the GPS doesn't always work very well but I think that's down to my heated screen blocking the signal rather than a fault with the camera.

I also like how firmly secured it is to the screen, it should help reduce any vibrations but probably not much of an issue in an '8 though!

I've not got the heated front screen in my car therefore it locks on to the GPS signal in seconds. The Nextbase took anywhere from 30secs to 2mins!

Just browsed ebay and the filter for the A119S is only 5.69. I may order one for that price.

I just remembered a video I saved. It might have been a bit compressed with uploading (first to Facebook then downloaded and uploaded to Youtube since I'm at work).

Hopefully it shows a good example of the Viofo.

Glad you let the Mercedes check the depth first!

I may have some old videos from the Nextbase and new Viofo to compare. Will check when I'm home.

Of course! No way I was going to rush in behind him.
