Newbie Question
Hi guys,
Just a quick question, what is the difference between the 4.2 and the S8? Not afraid of getting dirty with the car, just wanted to know what the fundamental differences were between the 2 engines...... Cheers -=F=-

In a nutshell, for the pre facelift, higher compression ratio, different cams, different inlet manifold, reworked heads, different mapping, lower ratios in the transmission and final drive.

Pre Facelift A8 = 300 BHP
Facelift A8 = 310 BHP Pre Facelift S8 = 340 BHP Facelift S8 = 360 BHP S8 also reves a lot more than the A8, 7250 ish not sure exactly, someone will be able to help more i'm sure!
