Good luck with finding them, I gave up on my old D2 and drove around for months as I could not find one anywhere.

Yeah, good luck. They are as rocking horse sh!t.

One will come up on eBay every now and again, expect to pay £75-£100 per side.

I've replaced one or two of mine over the years with brand new ones. Dunno if they're still available from Audi now.

If you do manage to find replacements, I would recommend securing them better. I've secured mine with a small stainless steel (so that they don't rust) self-tapping screw on the inner edge.

its a supply and demand thing, almost no supply as I don't believe the parts are made new anymore so sellers can demand what they like. I lost one of mine on an access track on the Costa Del Sol, and the other was stolen whilst the car was parked in London. I suspect the stolen one was then sold on at great profit, or removed because someone else needed one.

They are still listed on ETKA.

Do not take these part numbers as gospel, but I think they would be

4D0 853 684 K - right
4D0 853 683 K - left

This is probably as cheap as you will get them new, but confirm the part number first as there are several: http://www.teile-profis.de/
