I believe the FL also had more sound deadening and different/better suspension system so a bit quieter and smoother ride than a PFL. Not sure how much truth in that though.

I have them on mine, had the car over two years now, no issues so far.

Performance, can't say I have had many operrunitys to push them to the limit but have never experienced fade on them even when I was tanking down berridale.

The positives are next to nil brake dust, weight saving , longevity assuming they don't fail and they look the nuts.

The negatives, when you first move the car on A damp morning there is break squeal when dragging the brakes reversing for example and the eye watering cost of replacement should you need too.

I would remove them and fit steel discs should they ever become an issue.

Nice 2 b back n catching up with the forum, you know computers are not my speciality

Yes still got mine and was looking at options for a change and was finding it difficult to decide and have all my car needs satisfied

Needs are;

Power, still gives me a buzz
4WD, needed because we live so high up and snow is normal
Enough space inside
Looks outside
Also like to have a bigger car for safety as its common where I live to meet the odd cow or sheep.

Was toying with the idea of a VW Touareg
Have drove a RS4 and an S5 but after the A8 I'm spoiled for the ease of driving where they 2 have to b driven or maybe its just bcos I'm getting old.

Last week I came onto the site and saw Duffy's S8 and knew then what my next car would be.
Biggest problem will be having the patience

This one has been up for a while and price has gradually dropped, he would probably take a sensible offer as well I reckon. Mileage 104,000 though.

You're right, S8s with B&O seem to be few and far between at the moment.

Had seen that 1 but thought I would try and see if I could get the FL with lower miles.
