Default clay mitt and wax

I haven't washed my car for ages, luckily ADI spurred me into action and its a good thing with winter coming it needed a layer of wax.
I didn't have time to polish, loads of swirls, so all I did was a two-bucket wash at the local petrol station with their jet wash lance.
I read about these clay mitts on detailingworld, so I got one from Halfords, the one made by Farecla. It was easy to use, but it was not able to shift some heavy tar spots. Even normal clay could not shift them completely.
After that I rinced, dried and waxed with Collinite 456S.
D2 paint is amazing, after just a clay and a wax it comes up really well, the swirls and blemishes are harder to see, almost not worth polishing unless you want to enter a competition

D3 paint isn't quite as good.. but I'm impressed with my clay mitt, much easier on the fingers than a bar.

The Farecla mitt is really good. Gave my daughters Hyundai a good going over with the mitt last weekend as she wanted it sold. Came up as smooth as a baby's whatsitsname. It took off 4 years of Edinburgh grime. I did have to resort to a clay bar for some of the worst bits but overall, its a great tool.

He was more my "special" Uncle, Neil, I'm sure all you private school boys had one too?

On another note, the S8 passed it's MOT on Tuesday, no advisories, so at £35 probably the cheapest visit to a garage it'll EVER have.

It was due on the 14th, which is my wedding anniversary, but I let it slide a week as I didn't want that date associated with something I love
