Default Top Gear presenters

So I am sure you will have all seen the news today, Top Gear has announced its refreshed presenting lineup.

https://www.topgear.com/car-news/top...ear-presenters

I am sure the powers that be have a master-plan but to me it seems like another nail in the coffin. Maybe they should replace Chris Harris with Peter Kay or a celebrity chef and be done with it.

Are Freddie and Paddy known for being 'petrol heads'? I use Jay Kay, Rowan Atkinson, Nick Mason as obvious examples.

I don't mind Paddy in comedy acting roles, but I'm not sure I'd want to watch him as a Top Gear presenter ...
(... though he does throw a good black pudding: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.u...just_champion/)

And Freddie Flintoff!?? Isn't he one of those idiots who believe the earth's flat!?
https://www.indy100.com/article/fred...elieve-8075361

Perhaps they should make another 'Reliant Robin Space Shuttle' rocket and strap him into it!

It's got to be better than Chris "LOOK AT ME!!! I'M THE STAR HERE!!!" Evans.

I am sure they will have some banter.

I watch the Grand Tour but watching Hamster and May demurely taking Crap of Jezza, well, that was getting old when they were still on TG.

Again, it's better than Chris Evans though.

I'd rather have Vicky B-H...

It always happens with every and all types of show. It gets popular on the back of people who may actually know stuff; they then want to "upgrade" the presenters and also have the diversity issues to deal with and so, hey presto, at the moment, the "go to" person seems to be Claire Balding....... or to keep the balance, Matt Baker. Once they're known faces, they seem to get everywhere.

They should have stolen Rebecca Jackson off that tedious 'modern wheels vs classic steals' program on Dave

Add Vicki B-H and Sabine off 'zee German top gear' ......

Shame Rory has been sidelined - He took a little time to warm up, but I really liked him. Proper down to earth non-mega star car enthusiast.

Can't say the new cast does anything for me sadly...

I think my fantasy presenting team could consist of a combination of....

I'd keep Chris and Rory
Jenson Button
Jay Leno
Ginny Buckley (Carbuyer on Youtube)
Jay Kay (Jamiroqui)
Ben Collins (Stig)
Ron Dennis
Lord March
Suzi Perry

and maybe
Zig & Zag
or Elon Musk if they're busy!

Ron Dennis is an interesting choice.

Guest sections from Sabine Schmitz every now and then? Definitely no VBH

Not convinced about Ben Collins either His replacement stig had a more entertaining driving style. I'm sure he's a rally driver
