I have started to take the door appart.
The window regulator is riveted to the door, uh uh.
Will have to go and buy a rivet tool.

The window has two guides that runs in the rails, one on each side.
There are 6 rivets holding the window regulator.

I doubt I followed the correct procedure while dismantling everything.

So, I finally managed to get the door back in place.
The wire from the inner door handle to the lock gave me a hard time.

I tried to fit the wire back on while holding the window. Turned out to be impossible for me. So I had to take the wire out and then refit it to the lock mechanism.
In hindsight, I believe it would have been a lot easier to remove the wire from the window part, and leave it connected to the door lock.

I replaced a mechanism years ago on one of mine. I drilled out the rivets, swapped over a good one from a donor, and used nilock nuts and bolts in place of rivets. Haven't had to touch it since.

Regards,
Zip
