Smart motorway safety
Now we know that one third of the cameras that recognise breakdowns in Lane 1 don’t work. Dangerous place to be. Is it safer to stay in the car (only to be recommended for strong A8s) or exit into live lanes aiming to hop over the side barrier?
Cheers

My approach is to maintain the car so well that it doesn't break down in such a way that it becomes immobile, if it does happen, I'll stop in the left lane and get over the barriers.
