Fastening brake hose/line
Hi! I had my car MOT'd today, and i only got one fault.
I need to change the brake hose and fasten the transition up here. Any bright minds with a good idea on how to fasten it at home? Thanks in advance. Ole

It should have one of these clips between the union and the body bracket to hold it in place:
Part number is 4D0611715B |

The clips looks just like the ones i used on my old vw t3, i have a few in the garage :-). Just need to order a new bracket i guess.

Yeah same thing The picture of the hose is from an A4, so ignore that bolt-on bracket. The bracket on the D2 is welded to the body - it looks intact in your picture at first glance (red outline) but has it actually broken off the body (red arrow)?
Simplest fix for this is to get some aluminium angle about 2-3mm thick and make a new bracket. If you make it 25-30mm square you can get 5 rivets in it to attach it to the body, and use some polyurethane panel bond behind it to add strength and seal it up. That's assuming you can't tig weld of course! |

Thank you so much for the help!

I have a TIG welder but it's 3 Phase. Good addition to your workshop MJ?
