Been Away
Just back from a few days in Iceland. Jeez I thought we were tough here in Scotland, but truth be told we only play at winters here.
The ice on the roads was 4 inches thick and it never caused a problem as they have studded tyres I've added the pictures as thumbnails as they are large images and may take a while to load. Enjoy... One of my neighbours brother and his wife have been over from Finland (they DROVE here!!) and he said they're having a mild winter over there and it's 'only' -20C daytime temperatures at the moment
 when they moved there a few years ago it was -40CHis Avensis (2 wheel drive) has an external power point added to allow the engine to be pre-heated for 2 hours before attempting to start it lol Lovely pics, by the way - would love to visit some of the Scandinavian countries further North
