Signatures.....
I confess, my aging grey cells struggle to keep track of what everyone drives - Heck, I struggle to keep track of what I drive
 A number of regulars dont have signatures configured, yet they make your posts so much more informative as people know instantly what you drive, and what angle you're coming from. Click on 'Quick links' on the menu bar, and edit signature. A quick one liner on what you have (or want), age, spec, engine etc can make a world of difference... You can also link to photos if you like, to give us the full on visual effect - But not too big please or it makes the threads harder to follow.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions, ski hatch retrofit; extended leather. Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.). 2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!  Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. You could have the electric rear seats (ie electric lumbar and headrest adjust) with leather and alcantara. No conflict there.....
Tiptronic wheel became standard kit, when Audi started making them in 98. You basically have one of the very last PF S8's built. Very, very few left the factory even having sniffed the option of the 5" colour screen, TV or xenons. Even fewer, actually got it I dont think I've known of more than 3 S8s with both the colour screen and xenons, including yours !

You then need to run 3 wires - Ground, Change up and Change down from the steering wheel column down to the transmission shifter. Do a bit of work making the wiring all meet up where you need it, and bobs your uncle. If you get a later facelift tiptronic steering wheel, you need a fourth wire for illumination, as the tip buttons lights up on the wheel. Ah, how cute.
