well new disks been in for a few weeks now and so far not impressed with them. seam to have a bad cooling problem. every time i do some hard braking they overheat and fade. so i decided to look on the ebc website and read up about my new pads and disks. the site tells me that yellow stuff pads are the best they do and the vented, grooved and dimpled disks are the best they do for stopping and staying cool. i was confused right up to the point that i noticed the rotation direction of the disks and thought i would just go and have a look at my car and make sure mine are on the right way round. guess what ! all of my disks are on the wrong way round. so all of the ebc technology in design of cooling vents is doing me no good whatsoever unles i drive in reverse all the time. i suppose this is what happens when i try to save a few pounds and get a local mechanic to fit them. i think i will have to learn by my mistake and go where there is somebody who knows what they are doing.

I doubt it will make much difference Darren, from what I have learnt of your driving style you want to be looking at feeding more air to the back of the wheel/hub area, this will make a big difference.

i will see what it is like with the disks the right way round and if its still a problem then i will look at some cooling ducts. i will not have ducts for next weekend so i just hope my brakes are up to it. going to have a few sessions on track so just hope they are ok

brakes are very good now. went on track a few times at adi and had no problems even under very hard braking. although when you first use them cold they are not very good but when warm they are very good
