32v cambelt tools?!

Appear to have had a lucky escape, with one of the tensioners going ping, but the belt not going anywhere....just a little bit of slack :/

Have all the parts for the cambelt and waterpump change (also doing the oil cooler refurb whilst it's apart)...BUT....can't find the correct tools anywhere.

Does anyone know where to get them from? No one seems to make the cambelt tools for the S8 that locks the cams from the back of the block.

Please help?

You can get them on German e-bay, I think there is a supplier in USA or from a friendly dealer but most dealers does not sell them. I do have set I can rent out.

Come up short all over, just found them on German eBay, but could do with getting things moving...do you have the full set fella?

How much would you want for a rental?

I have 3212, 3197,3036, 3341, the Matra v-159 has lost one of the pins but these are readily available like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-Timin...item3a733bd653

Rent will be £30 for up to 2 weeks to give you plenty of time to sort it out plus postage or pick up in person from Rushden. As you are new member here, I do not know you and these tools are expensive I will need a deposit as well of £220.

Hi I have three of the tools to do the job 3341, 3197,3036 only used once to do my own vehicle will sell for £150 plus £15 postage let me know if you are interested. Regards Alun

I'm guessing postage would be easier!

Are they the genuine VAG tools?

2 options, have you a paypal account if you have I can post after receiving payment or I am in London on Friday, Edgware Road can collect from there coming by train so limited on getting around.Alun
