From memory it's about 1l per 1000m (or 1000km) is the 'allowed' figure for the ABZ I had.

And the car is an early PF.

Have you got access to vagcom?
Sorry no access to vagcom.

It's 1l/1000km(600mi). I think there is no level sensor on PF, just pressure sensor and FL have combined level/temperature sensor as well.

Well the local Audi specialist can't get me in until next Friday. I've flushed and changed oil & filter, couldn't get to the oil pressure switch will need ramps.

Test drove the car and the light came back on, gutted.

I am now hearing noises, probably in my head but think it's a job for the garage.

Do not run the engine until pressure is checked!

Just a quick update, the garage checked the oil pressure and said it was okay. Fitted my oil pressure switch and said that sorted it.

Unfortunately the light and warning chimes continue, looks like it will be going back

Car booked back in for next Friday. Looking at when the light comes on, it's always at 1500 rpm and usually when the revs drop down as the gearbox changes up.

Are there different sensors for different engine speeds or any other explanation?
