2013 Annual Meet - Train Ride & Cream Teas
Dear All,
Thanks to the generosity of His Lairdship, Sir Lord, Baron, Duke, Admiral, General James of Most of Scotland, the Cream Teas are definitely on. Jim (to his select few underlings he acknowledges) has very generously offered to underwrite the event . He has, I understand, sold of part of his, less used, private estates. 3 bits of gravel of his private duel carriage way up to the gatekeepers house before the 8 lane motorway to his Thursday garage. The gravel of course is diamond gravel!  Sooooooo, this means that the following will still be paying for their cream teas at the Railway in a 1950s Pullman carriage and then going on a train ride after. See Link Here With that in mind, I reckon that the following will be partaking:- Architex mA8tey - 1 for railway and Cream Tea Conan the Librarian - 1 for railway and Cream Tea The Laird (all alone) - 1 for railway and Cream Tea briang9 & Connor123 - 3 for railway and Cream Tea PsYcHe - 4 for railway and Cream Tea Darrenjoe90 - 2 for railway and Cream Tea Harrybosche - 2 for railway and Cream Tea Tintin - 1 for railway and Cream Tea Goran - 1 for railway and Cream Tea Total 16 so far. Please add / Ammend below in the normal fashion. I have confirmed the uptake and nee to pass the numbers the week before.  Ctl

Previously 2003 C5 A6 1.9TDI FWD - Loaner from D2 Doctor Lifex 1997 S8 - Ming Blue. Loaned out and written off. I loved that car. My first engine swap after cambelt failure. 1996 4.2 A8SQ - Ming Blue. 178k on a cambelt! Trader's 8. Delivered to A8Parts at Lifex. 2003 2.8 A8SQ - powder blueish. Fill in for a while. Sold on. 1998 1.8T A4 Avant FWD. Ming Blue (there's a theme here), PEX for the 97 S8. And a list of non VAG going back 40 years before I saw the light.

Update,
As we have hit minimum numbers I have confirmed our attendance and we will catch the 1030 train and have our cream tea after the ride. I have sent off the booking form and paid the deposit. On Monday I shall confirm the numbers and pay the balance. Please have you ticket money when you arrive at the event in cash and pass it to me. If you cancel after Monday you will still need to pay unless I can sell your tickets on. CtL
