The main thing that comes accross to me when meeting up is the real genuine interest with what everyone has done. I don't think I could call any of the A8 guys a geek at all. Sure some people like gadgets, some people like cleaning and cleaning and cleaning, others like OEM, some like retrofit, some like bling and noisy exhausts. Somehow its diverse enough to keep it interesting.

An owners' club still sounds like a good idea, though. I used to have a Datsun Z sportscar (mine was a 280z targa) and enjoyed the club meets when I could get to 'em. The meets used to move around the country somewhat - one AGM + meet was held down in Somerset, other meets were in the Midlands and places north. Mind you, petrol was cheaper then

are you having a dig? It's good to be clean isn't it?
I can only think of one instance when you'd like to be dirty.... whilst working under the engine perhaps

First off that reply from A8 Owner should have been at Figure11's comment not mine. But, OUTCH Botang I get the message... I'll have you know I have a medical nervous disposition when there are too many A8's in one place; symptoms are excessive druling & fits of excitement.
OK, OK as soon as Tony sets this one up I'll book a day off just to see you eat your words & to see those lurvely motors

It's coming!! It's coming!!!

Just been given a swift kick up the rear from Mike, who's pointed me in this direction again. I did see the invitation e-mail from Ian, but have been absolutely manic at work and home for the past few weeks, so haven't been able to spend too much time online

I am currently in the process of organising an A8 owners club, something I hope to have completely ready by the end of Feb, complete with merchandise

So anyone who's interested in a club, please put your name down here, and we'll get things moving a little quicker....

BTW the logo will be awesome

P.S. There WILL be an annual meet again this year, and hopefully we'll get an even better turnout
