Default D5 A8 S-line .. such good value now ?

im finding the D5 is growing on me
i suppose i need to test drive one

anybody got one ?
do you like it ?

the S-line is a much better version

I believe Neil has a D5 in his fleet, so you could get a feel for it from both the drivers perspective and as a chauffeur driven passenger.

I don't think there is much to choose between the trims, it's more about spec, though personally I prefer the Black Editions without the chrome.

Nonetheless, I don't think I could live with all the controls, the heating for example, being controlled from the touchscreen, you must have to take your eyes off the road to use them. I'll be avoiding any cars without at least some traditional controls (BMW nudge nudge), but also reserve the right to totally change my mind and go for one

Also, you know this already, they are more expensive now than they were 2 years ago, so not sure we can use the word 'value' for D5s
