Default New MFSW retro-fit toD2 S8 (2001)

Please don't lecture me on the known issues with the dual stage airbag as I believe I can take care of this in a different, safer, way. My question is, if anyone has done the install, what did you do with your headlight switch? I haven't seen any installs in early B5 A4's and all the ones I've seen have had the headlight switch on the dash. I don't think the A8 has the control module in the column like the newer cars do but I could be mistaken. If no-one has done this I guess I'll find out when I take it apart.

The problem I think you'll have is the new wheel will require canbus signalling to get any of the controls to work. The D2 is very lacking in the canbus department, so whilst the wheel may fit and you may be able to work around the airbag I do not believe you will have any luck getting the controls to work.
