I'm in the infantry and i work as a fire controller in mortars, basicaly i go out on the front line and radio a grid to the mortars and they fire on it. I'm currently in Afghan at the moment and ive got 2 months left over here and i managed to find this web site on my down time. I'm on my second A8 now, i ve just recently bought it but have'nt had a good drive of it yet as i'm out here, can't wait to get home and try it out.

Can't be dumb if you are on your second A8

My son heads for Afghanistan end March. He changed his Audi (A4 Avant) for a Volvo and he's only 36

Looks like he's the dumb one......

Cool

Well I've just got back in from transported two elderly woman who've come back from Madrid being picked up at Bristol Airport and being taken
Back to South Cornwall, where they complimented the car for it's smoothness and ease at doing airport transfer work. I thought as it was half past three in the morning what else better could I do that check the A/S8's owners working thread to see how it's going only to find out website already on our fifth page and loads of post contain much detail.

As previously said this was a very successful thread I started on a previous forum (Evo Owners) and it become extremely useful to everyone in the club! I 'be got full intentions over the next few weeks of starting other threads I posted previously there on here also like the Owners WAG's thread, where we post some pictures of the other half in our life as well as nrief details of how we met and how life works out for us both... That thread did extremely well ! In addition to that I could start up the "favourite song ever !" Thread or maybe the "share your hobbies!" Or "Show us your fish !" As back then I had a six foot long by three foot high by two foot deep fish tank which had many oddball fish in it all which where about 16 to 22 inches long.

But I'm pleased to see this thread doing so well, keep the information coming everyone because as a group it will be surprising to see how many people do what!

Regards, Mark.

Model: MY 2008 08 3.0TDI Quattro Sport, Black on Black (Transporter Edition) Lowered 60mm on drop link bars. Alloys swapped out to RS6 style 20" x 9.5". It's got full tints on all windows, and has the black leather interior. Remapped by Elite Automotive in Cornwall, giving an increase output to 290bhp/450lbs.

Options: Keyless Entry & Start, Bluetooth Hands Free, Quad Zone Climate, 3 Spoke Sports Tiptronic Multi Function Steering Wheel, Black Leather Comfort Seats, AMI, Drivers & Passenger Electric Memory Seats, Auto Dimming Mirrors, Bi-Xenons.

Future Plans:
Selling my current Audi A8 Quattro Sport and replace is with a newer D4 Audi A8L with the 4.2V8 Twin Turbo setup once again it must be black. I'm looking for one with the options added where it has the rear recliing seats, with heated outers. Bose speakers minimum and B&O's if affordable. Rear and back door sun blinds prefered.

Planned Mods:
Upon the arrival of my A8L D4, I will be once again having the ECU remapped to a performance setting over economy. Rear Tints as dark as can go whilst also tinting the front windows with a medium tint. Once again I will be purchasing lowering links for the air ride suspension and setting it at 55mm lower when in comfort as my desire rideheight over standard. Alloys will be 21" however the one current most likly to be the next car already has a brand new set of 2016 S8Plus wheels on it.
