Default phatnoise questions

Hi all,

Have just got a phatbox which came from a VW,my A8 has the autochanger fitted, but with the round connector and as we all know the VW is square. So was wondering best place to get the round interface lead 000 051 592A?But I do have the complete lead which runs from the head unit to the phatbox,so my next question is if the Audi lead is silly money, would the VW lead be ok to use from my Concert head unit,I know its a lot more work running the cable down the car but certainly doable!
Another issue is the power supply adapter for the usb cradle is missing, anyone know what type I need from maplins etc?

Cheers

Rich

Hi Rich,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUDI-...fAudioQ5fVideo

is where I picked up my lead. It was about £30 inc delivery IIRC.

Before you run the VW cable the length of the car I'd try plugging it into the back of the head unit and see if it works.

PSU supply's seem to vary but a minimum of 1A @ 9v should be sufficient.

HTH

Steve

If it came from a VW, you may need to flash the firmware to the Audi version too.
