Default Where is the audio Aux Inputs

I understand that the audio Aux (RCA) inputs are in the boot. I have taken the panel off on the left hand site to reveal the nav system and a few other electronic boxes. I cant see the red and white audio inputs anywhere. Am I looking in the right place?

The two AUX inputs are not factory installed. Many of the D3 owners have installed the flying phono leads into the RED connector on the TV unit.

Take a look at this thread
http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=9139

And Rick's photo here (he's fully installed 2 x video & audio in, 1 x out)

Thank you.

I have the original analogue TV. If I select the CD/TV button on the center console and then select source on the LCD screen it shows three options:

CD
TV
External AV source

So is my car compatible with soldering in an RCA lead? Looking at the other thread, is mine Aux 1 or 2?

you dont need to solder, they are push on terminals, its fiddly, you open the big red cable cover and put the terminals in to it

i had the analogue tuner before i switched it for the hybrid tuner
as i recall though it said AV1 and AV2

what year is your D3
and what m mmi firmware are you on

Might be of some help mate.
Its pretty easy to be honest. A little fiddly but not hard.
15 ish quid for a set of the phono leads from either ebay or kufatec and job done.

may need to update it to see av1 and av2, havent seen a car without it when the tuners installed, will take a look through the hidden menu and vcds to see if i can see anything that can be changed but i dont recall anything offhand.

though you could always try the AV1 inputs, if its anything it will be AV1. It will give you audio and video, though it isnt a great input for audio if you like pristine sound.

From memory I believe you have to tick a box from within the hidden green menu for the other AUX2 to be displayed.
