Default Before you offer your a Son a lift...

Hi All,

Not posted for a while, sorry it has to be a "help me" rather than offering help to others.

Son phones 10:30 pm, "got a gig with my band Dad, can't get there, are you busy Saturday".

"Not busy, go on then, where?"

FALMOUTH.

So help with route planning please, Barnsley, S. Yorks to Falmouth, to arrive mid-afternoon for sound check.

Robert

Default Trains

Yep. £220. 8 hours, 3 changes on the train. Plays drums.

He might just try to divorce his Dad if I did that...

M1, M42, M5 to Exeter, A30, A39 through Truro. Its quite a trek - expect 6-7 hours, possibly more on a Saturday although at least its not a bank holiday. I do Exeter to Leeds fairly often and it takes around 5 hours. Falmouth is another 2 hours South of here.

Watch out for speed cameras around Birmingham and stick to 70 in the Bristol variable speed limit - the cameras are very trigger-happy there. Also watch out for a 15-plate grey BMW 5-series estate with a small camera on the roof on the M5 South of Bristol.

Traffic gets pretty slow once you've got to the A39. 45 mins to an hour to get to the middle of Falmouth. Where's the gig?
