Default Warranty advise

Guys I have a couple of jobs on my car which don't really drain my pocket off.
I do have an aftermarket warranty on the car for another 12 months. D'like to use it but never done it in my life. My front shocks need replacing, they do not leak but can hear them knocking (suspension is new so they are to blame). Also new ride hight sensors (one was badky corroded and cleaning it did not help). Will it be straight forward process? Will they let me use my trusted mechanic (don't want no one else touch it)? Also for shocks happy to use refurbed units (will they allow it)?
Will call them next week anyways but d like to hear other experiences
Is it a waste of time?

Borys are you sure that the front shocks are the cause of the knocking? I've replaced most of my front suspension on a D3 and then still had a knocking over certain bumps and it turned out to be the anti roll bar bushes worn, which then entailed the whole bar being changed (cost about £130) and now it has transformed things completely, front end feels amazingly tight and no knocks or squeaks. Even if you've had suspension parts changed the anti roll bar often gets overlooked
