I was searching for the part on Google (or ebay can't remember). As I have Amazon Assistant add on installed on Chrome, it shows a pop up of what's available on Amazon. Strangely, I just tried it again and it bought up the same battery on Amazon for £110 lol.

Be slightly wary, the seller isn't in the UK and now we are not in the EU extra charges may apply.....

That said, they might not also

I've not seen that happen with Amazon - I would assume they are registered for UK vat so its all covered, but also its well below the £135 import duty threshold

Caved....bought the Tanya battery one. £105 all in with delivery tomorrow!

Varta H3 100Ah and 830A

I'll probably keep the Amazon order open and see. It'd be useful for the Jeep and better than the old Audi battery!

Swapping it over was pretty easy. I hooked up a charger while i did it as with the -ve post it's pretty easy to do!

Guess i need to have a look at coding it next week. I've not got my lap top with my and I couldn't figure it out on ODB11 - Also need to work out the right code, but Hey!

It all boils down to the surface area of lead in the cells - industrial cells (for electric forklifts) still use Ah as there is no cranking involved.

A battery/cell can look the same but have different Ah capacities because the length of the plate varies.

Sticking comparable batteries on a scale is normally the tell-tale - heavier battery = more lead = more puff.
You will get this as the best comparison with identically sized Yuasa batteries. The better ranges are heavier - a 5000 series battery will weigh more than 3000 series battery.

Both my Infiniti's were extremely power hungry and both had 5000 series Yuasa batteries in them fitted within days of purchase. I have a 5000 series in the D2 as well.

+1 for Tanya batteries - highly recommended (or at least until Brexit as their shipping costs to NI are now horrendous)

Ah.....The joys of Battery Coding.

My old one was

4E0 915 105 A von VA0 1501170013

I found info here
http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?p=152240
https://www.audisport-iberica.com/fo...r%C3%ADas-vag/

and details on the batteries date and so forth
https://technoluxpro.com/en/stati/ra...vki-bosch.html

The battery was varta H13 - 12v 100aAh 830A which *IS* a slightly different spec. Couldn't find a 100ah battery, so went on the low side with 95ah one, DK - The date was March 21 from the serial 4th digits, 139 , so x Y MM (Also the old code, Jan 05, so that was coded right when last changed!)

I used

4EO915105DK VA0 1103270040

Seems to be accepted, will see if it alters anything???
