Default RS6 C7 itch well and truely scratched (sold)

well almost 4 months in and i decided to sell
a local dealer snached my hand off for nearly what i paid for it

why ?

comfort was just not there in Comfort Mode
it was a bit wallowy in Comfort and hard as a rock in Dynamic
the RS6 is a much younger mans car as im nearly 67 years and feeling it

the car itself was awesome in every way im glad i owned it for this short while
ive had many fancy fast cars all my life starting with a Mini Cooper S 1275

so whats next ,, ive no idea at this stage a very hard to follow car the RS6 is
im thinking S8 plus

I didn't expect to see it go so soon! I guess the only way to see how a car is long term is to drive it for a couple of months. Yours was a very nice example and it will sell quickly.

The S8+ is a good shout, should be noticeably more comfortable.

How'd it compare ride wise with your A8 of late? I find the true test is a well pothole'd road

Time to have a chat with Nick (topupkid) for his opinion.

I had an RS3 as a courtesy car a couple of years ago and whilst it was lightning quick with a brilliant sound, it was just too hard for daily driving.

I think us '8' owners have been spoilt with such a good ride, even in 'S' form that anything else just isn't comfortable unless it's an old Merc on fat 16" wheels

....and here was me chatting to a good friend in the Liverpool area about our ideal cars....both agreed on the RS6......especially your version.

I was almost tempted to send you a message along the lines of 'if you ever think about selling.....'

Not to be

Wife already misses the comfort of the 8. It was after all basically a limo. She seems to have forgotten the frequent clearing of its blocked drains, wet carpets and condensation all Winter. The boot motor / soft-close lottery. The unlistenable "Nokia under a quilt" sound of the basic stereo.

I would have hoped the RS6 would have been ideal for me, if I had the money or need for another vehicle. I know the ride is firm, but SWMBO says the next car has to have leather electric seats, heated front AND back, and be Auto and 4WD. I would also need space for two whole mountain bikes to lie flat in the back with the rear seats down, and a great sound system.

I don't think there's anything that ticks those boxes for under 20K. I don't want to spend any more than that on something I don't need.

Maybe a L322 Rangey. But buying one of those is the cheapest part, so I'm told.

D4 S8 Plus enjoys an annual road tax of £585

Having said that and assuming you haven't blown a gasket you are welcome to try mine here in Staffordshire.
It is quieter and despite its larger 21" wheels, smoother than the D3
