Default PCD Adaptors anyone?

I'm want to get some new alloys for the A8 but rather than just forking out for the 5x112 size which is around £300 more I'm looking to fit 5x114.3 wheels to 5x112 A8 hub, does anyone have any experience of using PCD Adaptors?

I run them on my S8 - 5x112 to 5x130 for Q7 (Porsche pcd) wheels. They're no different to bolt-on spacers. I don't have any issues with them. Just make sure your offsets and centre bore are all correct.

But, a decent set of adapters with steel thread inserts (H&R etc) will cost about £300 so it makes the saving on the wheels moot in this case. Even a cheapy set without the steel inserts will still be £150-200, so it seems like over-complication tbh for no significant advantage.

It makes sense for cross-brand wheel shopping, but when they are available with the correct pattern in the first place, the latter would be the better option IMO

I think you can also run wobble bolts on 114 to 112.

Even cheaper than pcd adapters.

That's a good point I had forgotten A friend did that on a B5 A4 so if it worked on that there's no reason it wouldn't work on a D2 assuming the wheel has enough bolt clearance.

Thanks Gents, ah wobble bolts I've heard of these before after a quick google seems like a decent alternative and cheaper I might add, MJ your right I'd probably negate the saving with pcd adaptors,

Question is do you reckon these wheels will fit on the D3?
Width 10"
Diameter 19"
Number of bolts 5
Hole circle 114.3 mm
Offset 30 mm
Centre bore 70.1mm
