1st VCDS Scan- What does it all mean?!
Hi just done a full scan for the first time. What does it all mean and do I need to do anything?
I notice its throwing up a fault code re the EGR which has been mapped out. Can I change the config to lose this? Seems to be a lot of 'no comms' between modules. Was the battery every flat?
Now you have a log I would erase and re-scan, it's the ones that come back you need to worry about

This was after the 1st scan and then a clear. Not sure that worked though. Is there a procedure with the ignition after hitting clear? The modules spoke fine, if you look at the list below, I was just a little slow getting the ignition on.... Can anyone help with the EGR coding?

I would suggest that you need to start and run the car before taking another scan. I am not too sure how this works but it seems to me that even if you clear the fault codes it still stores the fault condition unless its been through a "self check" on next being used and hence raises a fault code. I may be talking bollox here but I have found that I have needed to start/run the car to stop the DTC appearing again. Someone with vastly more knowledge may well be along to put me right.

I completely agree with the comment saying you should enter each control module and clear individually. I had a persistent bug and it cleared only when I cleared that module alone.
Post your results when you're done and hopefully there isn't anything left to do.
