Default annoying seatbelt warning bongs

Can someone please tell me how to disable the seatbelt warning noise that comes on every time I turn the key. 6 bongs every time, whether the seatbelt is on or not!!!!

Hmm. UK cars don't normally have a seatbelt warning, although they do have at least some of the wiring and there is a coding option for it in the cluster. I guess it might be possible to turn it on, or indeed off again.

Does it show any lights on the dash when it does this? Is it a bong or a beep?

It is not an import. It is defo a bong noise and there is no lights on dashboard associated with it.

Have you got a tracker or aftermarket alarm fitted. Mine has and when you start up it gives 5 beeps.

Jap imports would always beep/ping/bong 5-6 times on start up.
subarus are particularly annoying!
