Default Folding mirrors stopped

So just realised my folding mirrors have stopped working

As I put the switch in to the folding mirror position nothing happens. All other electric features work like adjusting the lens ans the left mirror tilts when put in reverse

Is this just a case of blown fuse?
Thanks ☺️

Botang's hole leaking, filled the mirror folding relay with water. Very common problem.

Just googled that and what I gather is water leaking in to the cabin?
Can you tell me where this relay is?
Thanks

Correct, loads of pics in the forum thread for it. I just fixed it on my black S8 last night - I'll post pics in the WITW thread for it later.

The mirror folding relay is top left of the relay box in the passenger footwell. Botang's hole drips on to the flasher relay first, then off that in to the relay box.

You also have to fix the leak otherwise it will happen again.

I get that but if it blew the relay why would it start working all of a sudden?
I’m trying to look up for how to access this hole!
Any help?

The relay is damp or full of water so either corrosion or water is intermittently shorting out the gubbins inside.

Holy thread resurrection!
Discovered this week when parking in some very dodgy spots (just narrow) in Northumberland that my mirrors don't fold in.

No signs or sounds of any movement on either, so is this most likely to be the relay mentioned earlier in this thread?
Obviously Botangs hole isn't relevant.
If so, which relay and type is it?

Edit: Bizarrely, after we got home and I gave the car a quick rinse (soft water) and it dried off in the sun, they're working again.
Maybe it's when the ambient temperature is above 11C, which it wasn't most of this week, they are ok?

I also have some odd behaviour with the solar sunroof, that seems to be totally random as to whether it works or not.

my car has also had the botang hole done a long time ago by previous owner, but the mirror relay still failed as it slowly corroded due to water damage that happened what it looked like years ago before botang hole being fixed, replacing it fixed the problem.
