Default 35k miles Longlife service costs?

Hey Guys, my D3 3.0TDi is up for its 2nd service (indicator flashing its due in 100miles).

It's just turned 35k miles and last service was at 16kmiles, phoned around a couple of Stealers, one quoted 541 (as needed several filters changing, wheels off inspection etc..), another quoted 615 as "may as well go for the larger 40k service as not that far off".

Phoned a local Audi Indy, they quoted 249.00, this includes oil, air & pollen. Fuel filter would cost marginally more.

Question is - what is actually needed? I'd like to keep up official Audi in the service book (always a plus come re-sale time) but don't want my pants pulled down by the official Stealers.

Any thoughts?

This link promises to give the schedule for your model - just plug in year.
Its the american site and I found it from a link on Audi world:

http://www.audiusa.com/us/brand/en/o...intenance.html

Audi world link:
http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2747853

I cannot find anything similar on the Audi Uk site. maybe there is but i cant see it.

The word "Longlife" cuts into my spine....

They only invented the whole Longlife thing to have us believe the yearly runingcost for owning the thing is getting lower. And well, if you buy a brand new car and have no intention of keeping it after the warranty has run out(5 yrs here) Then go ahead with longlife, the problem will be for the later owners..

After Lomglife came you wouldn't believe how many Turbo's and engines Vw/Audi has changed on warranty... Serious amounts..

But they have to keep up with the japcrap

10K miles Max pr oilchange is a pretty cheap investment for your car.
