center dash computer gone off.
Anybody know how I go about fixing it.
Was working fine till our long journey the other day..

Push the button under the right hand stalk, maybe you switched it off by accident ?

I suffer from both of the above:
1. DIS is blank or very faint in cold weather until it warms up 2. Only discovered in the last year or so what the button on the underside of the right-hand stalk does.  Very useful now though.

Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.). 2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation".  (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!  Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course.  (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Aren't these 2 different buttons? One (on the left stalk IIRC) cycles the DIS display and the one underneath the right stalk turns it on and off. I've turned it off by mistake a couple of times.

There's 2 buttons on the end of the right stalk that cycles through the available display functions - just a rocker switch
The one underneath the right stalk will reset the trip computer settings on each display you scroll through IF you hold it down. If you press and release, it switches the display off which can get a bit confusing! Mine will also be a bit dim on cold start sometimes - usually wakes up fully after a couple of minutes Left stalk only has the 'set'/increase speed function on the end of the stalk (could be decrease speed as car isn't out to check!)

Not on mine. It cycles through Nav, computer and blank.
The up/down switch on the end cycles the trip computer options. Right stalk. I think a long press resets the computer which is why I left it alone for so many years; this is a quick prod.

Yep your all spot on. I was holding the button to long
   I blame the missus. Have to say I was having nightmares when I bought this car about fixing costs but so far its all been relatively cheap or free.
