Well it's never quite clear as LPG gives less MPG than petrol but that would only account for 1 or 2 MPG I reckon.
The LPG system has never been serviced so that could also be an issue.
I'm trying the 'old boy' approach so I'll see if we have an improvement!!

Service it, pull fault codes and look after it. Then you'll get the best MPG you can.

Treat it like crap and it will treat you like crap. It will go wrong in a big expensive way. I mean both the car and the LPG system.

That ain't a dig or anything by the way, but routine servicing makes the car last. If you don't, that's when the big bills roll in and people say how unreliable their car is.

You're dead right A8 Doc!! Good care will lengthen the life alot. I also have a Mk2 Golf G60 so I know if I don't service that then the charger could well blow up on me!!
The car came with very little history so the first thing I did was get the oils out of it. Going to do it again soon. This car, I think is more of a test vehicle than a keeper really. It's got more issues than it should have. I'll use it to learn some more things (mainly bodywork and lots of electrical bits!!) then may look into an S8 perhaps?
