Default Led drl

Considering a set of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/philips-w5w...ps%20w5w%20led but the cluster error warning would drive me crackers.

Is it possible to code out the error, like this chappy does with OBDEleven and VCDS on a more modern Golf: https://youtu.be/yY1G5dCUEUk?

Which lights do you have? Bi-xenon with DRL as a 21w 1156 bulb?
If so, you can replace that with an 1156 LED and either swap two pins over on the headlight connector (sidelight and DRL) or just bridge the positives together within the lamp. You can then code for "with LED DRL" with VCDS.
There is a thread on here http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=9791

Hi Snap. I have the bi-xenons, with the incandescent candle light in the inner lights nearest the grille. I know the thread you’re talking about, and I’ve tinkered previously, without much luck. I was wondering if I could whack those LEDs in, as they get good reviews and use VCDS to prevent errors.

No, you can't prevent the errors with VCDS

That’s what I thought. Thanks for the clarification buddy.
