Good man! hi and welcome. Where are you based? Do you have any particular car/year in mind? (Perhaps you could post in the Introductions section?)

Welcome from me too.

And a special welcome if you're up for the meet even before you have the car!

Your Lairdship,
For my part, I fully intend to be in attendance, and could I humbly suggest a trip, or maybe a little time spent around the amazing Falkirk Wheel? No matter if not, but it IS a fantastic piece of engineering, similar to some "Deutsche Auto" the love of which we share!!

Regards to all,
Steve

Hi Steve good to hear from you, that's a great idea for the pot - I guess it depends on where we end up in scotlandshire on our jaunts, it does look stunning at night though too

A great pic to celebrate my 4000th post . . . . Damn now I just feel OLD lol

Good idea - especially as by then, unless I'm mistaken, the Kelpies will be there as well

I'd love to have it somewhere closer, so everyone is evenly spread....but I haven't been in Scotland for years now and I absolutely love roads and scenery.
There is a nice road from Glasgow to Fort William which I enjoyed a lot last time I've been there, but I've enjoyed almost every piece of tarmac out there, especially in remote locations
So I will go for I'm coming no matter where it is!

The Falkirk Wheel is on the list of potential attractions we made when looking at the possible areas in Scotland in which to hold the meet. However, depending on the final decision on the area, it may not be possible to include all attractions in a weekend! It HAS to include a visit to a distillery of course!

I'm pretty sure I will be be attending. 9 / 10 or so hours drive from Essex if its held around the Highlands, and around 6 or 7 if held not far over the border. Its still 7 months away, but maybe there can be a convoy with anybody else heading up from the South?

M1 or M5/M6.... that is the question.

Good to hear! the decision on Scotland as the venue was after a number of southern venues over the past few years. As you can see from the poll, we were trying to assess peoples acceptance of the distances involved. A number have mentioned the road to Fort William (and beyond) and it was high on the route list. Watch this space.
