Default Latest Kahn 'alloys'

I expected this to be all over the forum by now!

I've been watching a series on NatGeoTV called Supercar Megabuild, this week they modified a D4 A8. Cannot find it on catch up TV but am sure they'll repeat it several times.

And it should be on their youtube channel in a few days

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcp...bzFLMuLQILhrLQ

Virgin customers can watch it here

http://anywhere.virginmedia.com/show...4de76b42c5a7d4

Am sure Sky customers can do something similar

Cannot even find any photos, so you'll just have to use your imaginations for now, it's a pretty radical modification!

Found a brief clip here:

I have this recorded but not watched it yet. The series is very 50/50 for me, some of the 'conversions' and ideas are very good but some of the cars are just butchered (Bentley)

The Mulsanne was a monstrosity. Jacked up suspension and what looked like an Argos roof rack fitted and you have to use a metal loft ladder leaning up against the side of the Bentley to climb into the 'hide' they've stuck on the roof.

And Kahn seems like a be!!end. Would love to know how much he charged the client to carry that out.

I also thought is Kahn actually an ar$e as portrayed in the series or have they tried too hard and make him look a right tit? Either way he has potentially put off buyers with his attitude (real or false) imo.

There are many flaws in the programme.

1. The engineers look like a back street garage so why would a big corp like Khan use them?

2. They seem to do/spend as they please even when told not to (3k over on Aston, Roof lights on Evoque) which would never happen. No professional outfit would go against their customer (or boss) who is paying the bill

3. As said earlier they have made Khan look a right tit (maybe he is)

4. The initial LPG conversion on the Bentley... no person in their right mind would EVER LPG a new(ish) Bentley.

Just watched this - started off badly with shots of a Balao "dog doo" brown interior - but the car the modified was actually a poverty spec 3.0 TDI..... not sure which is better

The tracks were "interesting", suspect a bit more thought would have mitigated the bumper cuts also.

Not sure the matrix lights would work well around a full width front snow plough

Interesting to see them blow a suspension strut jacking it up too high, I wonder why they needed a bigger compressor - could have probably done that with some adjustable links or even VCDS. The collar solution looked more elegant for ultimate height.

Also I have no idea why they went after market on the webasto system, could have gone OEM easily and would have been more functional.

I think they had some interesting ideas, but the execution lacked and I hope that was just for dramatic effect being an entertainment show.

That all said, the Kahn body styling looked okay for the short while it was fitted - but cant see it on their website - so I'll stick with OEM and just fit my snow tyres in the winter
