Default heat sensitive airbag light ?

left the car outside the supermarket in full sun
car steaming hot when I came back , on starting up airbag warning light wouldn't go out , even after half an hour driving with aircon on
in the evening when the car had cooled light went out normally

anyone had this ? any explanation ?

What code has it logged? Interesting to see if it's got an 'igniter resistance too high' for one of the bags.

ok , visitors departed , back to work !

ran VCDS-lite , got code
06656 seat occupied passenger
36-10 open circuit , intermittent

couple of years got the airbag light on problem on passenger sport seat ; short circuited out the front extendable bit and the problem disappeared until now , but now only when very hot

adopted bridge players favourite position , sitting scratching head

all ideas gratefully accepted

having determined that the fault is ,once again, connected with the front passenger seat , had a read through the entirety of the sticky on the subject

et voila ! someone reported that with the heated seat set at 6 the warning light stayed on, and when the setting was reduced the light went out !

so leaving the car with full sunlight blasting the seat must be affecting the resistance of the sensor pad in the main part of the seat

wonder if fitting the 470ohm resistor referred to would stop this happening !
