Default Wanted Donkey / Powered Hacksaw

Anyone have an old Powered hacksaw they have at the back of a workshop taking up space?

Have to admit that's one of the more interesting thread titles I've seen... and yes, I had to Google it to find out what Dezzy was talking about.

The best ones are the old 3 phase cast iron ones, they last forever

Agreed, would love one of those big Ajax or similar, however I don't have 3 phase, an overhead crane or the space for one of those bad boys.

I’ve got 3 phase so you could buy the saw and I’ll keep it here for you and you can use it whenever you want...

It's such a tempting offer, and I don't want to sound rude but I think by the time I've driven 18 hours to yours and back I could have made the cut with a junior hacksaw. Unless you fancy running a fly lead from you 3 phase supply to me?

Couldn't you use a single to 3 phase inverter?

(I have no solution to offer for the lack of space and/or crane unfortunately).

Also, if the latter is a problem, the former are quite cheap, apparently. Plus they don't require 3 phase:

I didn't know you could get a 3 phase inverter, hmmm

And I'm not having one of those smelly, flee bitten nags in my swamp!

Powered hacksaw now owned by Dezzy, jobs a goodun.

Now, anyone want a brand new compact tractor link box, fully welded design better and cheaper than anything available on the market at present. Promotional offer available as always with the first of class. As it's not made yet it can be fully customised to suit any size.
