Default Main dealer price for FL S8 front pads

I phoned Audi earlier to get prices for brand new discs and pads all round. Everything was reasonable until the parts guy mentioned the price for the front pads....£320

I thought he made a mistake. Does anyone know why they’re so expensive? He said I could get a 10% discount but that’s still £280.

What’s a good alternative to original Audi pads?

Sounds about right. Pagid, Textar, Mintex, Brembo all decent alternatives around £60 a set. Avoid Bosch & Apec.

Cheers MJ

I’ll look at those if my mate is unable to get me a decent price from TPS.

My mate has managed to get a full set of Discs and pads all round from TPS for a little over £400 which I thought was good.

He’s asked me to check part numbers to ensure they’re correct.

Front discs
4D0615301B

Front pads
4D0698151L

Rear discs
8E0615301P

Rear pads
1J0698451L

Do these look right to you?

Those are the correct numbers. £400 is not too bad for OEM - about double what decent aftermarket would be.

The part numbers quoted are correct but I bought Ferodo front discs from Mister Auto for £107 pr. in 2016 and Brembo front pads for £60.28 from Next Day Brakes also in 2016. Brembo dont seem to supply the front discs anymore (Brembo part No. 09.7941.11). The Brembo part no. for front pads are P85 053 and rear, P85 020.
