Default Rare to see the temperature gauge move past 90 degrees

Wow, it has been a scorcher here in NSW, Australia for the last day of the year.

I know that the temperature gauge in the Audis are weighted so that they show as 90 degrees so long as the actual engine temp is within design range (86-105?).

It was so hot here today that I have seen the gauge creep to where I have never seen it before.

Coolant level is good and thermostat replaced in September 2018, so I am attributing the movement of the needle to that, as I was going slowly in traffic.
