Default wiper blades

I'm needing new wiper blades for my 2003 D2 S8.

I got some in Germany last year and they're not clearing the screen very well now.

Does the passenger side need to be a curved blade or does a flat blade work just as well.

Had a search but can't find the definitive answers, what length are they ?

I don't want the aero style so any suggestions ?

If you want the proper type, have a butchers on ebay. You can find the Bosch ones with the slightly smaller and curved passenger side one.

Can't vouch ones below are correct like the ones above - huge price difference though!

Bosch parts catalogue:

http://rb-aa.bosch.com/boaa-uk/kidow...&type=download

Lists a curved blade for the passenger side and from past experience on an A4 they don't work too well with a straight standard blade on the passenger side.

Think this is the correct pair?

I stand corrected - they are both the same length as Adrian has pointed out. It is the aero versions that use a smaller, but straight passenger one.

Any of the links should do then, just make sure the passenger one is curved

straight ones are fine on the passenger side. the curved equivalent is at least twice the price (couldn't find a bosch one for less than £18 on the net for a single curved wiper.)

you have to be careful buying off ebay to make sure you're getting exactly what you want - I doubt those cheap ones have the spoiler on the driver's side, let alone the curved passenger one. Best to buy as a twin pack for the intended application as less chance of getting ripped off.

^^^ +1

Audi went with this design for a reason, and I'm sticking with it as the flat ones I have seen do not sit correctly on the screen when parked. They also don't wipe the bottom part of the screen as well AND are shorter.

Every centimetre counts you know

thanks guys.

I already have the driver side 22" with spoiler so just need a passenger side.

Gone for a Valeo curved 22" from wiperblades.co.uk at £9.75

New wiper blade question

Has anyone tried the new Bosch Aerotwin retrofit blades? Updates the look to later Audi style and potentially gives a more consistent contact patch compared to the original style blades.

Bosch parts catalogue suggests AR551S is the right kit.

Be interested if anyone has, as will guinea pig them if nobody else has!
