D3 S8 Ceramic Brake Backing Plates

Howdy all,

I've just had to purchase a brake disc backing plate for my S8. because it has the ceramic brakes, the backing plates are horribly expensive (£300+). If I'd known that, I wouldn't have tossed the old one away so carelessly!

While checking the car, I noticed that the front driver's side backing plate on my car seems different from the others. Where all the others curve over the disc to protect the edges, the OSF backing plate curves away from the disc, leaving the edges exposed.

Could someone with ceramic brakes tell me if it's the same on theirs? I'd hate to have to buy another one of these infernal things!
