Default 2001 4.2 A8 D2 Power Steering Pipes.

I know there is another thread on this, but I’m looking for something specific.

Anyways, my A8 sprung a leek and I just managed to get it over to a garage and he replaced the pipes with standard generic hoses. Dean at 4rings advised me that to get rid of the whining I needed OEM Audi parts.

I managed to find 4D2422893D at Audi tradition, but he’s also binned the pipe that goes to the rack. Am I right in thinking it is 4d1422893ag (8 diagram ) for my car?

Not sure of the part numbers, but I replaced mine with refurbished exchange ones from Michaela (MikkiJayne). Send her a PM and ask

BTW, an introduction would be nice, especially with photos of your car.

I can't do an exchange set when the garage binned the originals.

Front pressure hose - 4D2422893D
Rear pressure hose - 4D2422893M
Return hose - 4D2422891C

For reference part numbers with 4D0 are all models, 4D1 are LHD-specific, and 4D2 are RHD-specific.

The outer one is the return hose. The inner one is the two pressure hoses, but the front one has its foam sleeving removed.
