Default Aerosus vs MaXpeedingrods?

I’m hoping this is a ‘safe’ question to ask on this forum - Does anyone have any experience using Aerosus air struts? I’m in UK so this looks to be the resident aftermarket ‘good’ brand. There’s also MaXpeedingrods but many reviews are not positive… Arnott from US are over a grand each and frankly I don’t see that value as justifiable, unless the others are rubbish…

I replaced one of mine with Arnott from AutoDoc. Waited for a decent discount (was around 32% on the app) and cost just under £650 but they seem to be over £800 now!

Yes the Arnott are at prohibitive prices now and still not an OEM part. Also if any issues it’s a US company and bound to be a fortune in shipping etc to sort out any issues. Thinking the Aerosus may be the safest buy in UK as good reviews and support.

The cheap Maxpeedingrods brand on eBay seems a bit hit and miss with a mix of good and terrible reviews. It would be great if these were good quality!

I wish this were a straightforward decision, it’s a sad day when we cannot trust the basic function of aftermarket parts that ‘must’ be made to some standard, and to fulfil the intended purpose

My fear of the cheap brands like Maxpeedingrods is that the air strut might be ok but the shock could be horrible

Agreed. Took the plunge this morning and purchased both front struts from Aerosus UK. With these replaced that would be the complete front suspension replaced as new. Looking forward to a good as new ride👍
