Problem developed in August this year with Piston 1 failing inside the engine causing minimal wear to the engine. Car does start but recommended NOT to start

As for the piston damage that could be serious money to sort out.

I wouldn't touch it thats for sure, not unless it was getting broken.

Depends on the cylinder damage really.. Even if it was 3k to sort, still a bargain... But.. You'd always be wondering if any of the others were thinking about it.

Interesting... so you would have 4.2TDI with S8 looks, brakes and suspension. Are there any other differences?
